Pete is a seasoned retired senior adjudication officer of the United States Army Physical Disability Agency. In his role within the Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) he provided dedicated service ensuring fairness and accountability in the disability evaluation process for U.S. Army service members. Guided by the principle “ensuring fairness and dignity in every disability case,” Pete brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in military, law enforcement, and federal service to his work. His career reflects a deep commitment to integrity, accountability, and service to people.
In his role with the Army’s Physical Disability Evaluation System, Pete has gained experience in the review of medical, legal, and administrative records to determine fitness or unfitness for duty and with providing clear, well-reasoned recommendations. He has been instrumental in implementing improved case management systems that reduced processing times and strengthened procedural fairness for soldiers facing life-changing medical and career decisions. His ability to balance technical precision with empathy has earned him a reputation as a trusted voice in complex adjudications in medical disability cases.
Beyond his adjudication work, Pete’s career includes service as a New York State Police Station Commander and Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he commanded units, led teams, advised senior leaders, and built programs that improved accountability and performance. Across all roles, his guiding principle has remained the same: every individual deserves a fair process, honest and timely communication, and respect throughout their journey.
