“Mrs. Chief,” Bren Cox

Intake Specialist

Mrs. Chief Bren Cox“Mrs. Chief,” Bren Cox, is our “go to” lead during the intake process, reviews our cases in their initial stages and helps potential clients learn whether CitizenSoldierLaw is the right firm. If not, she leads our efforts on trusted referrals. She is extremely effective in this role and with more than 25 years of administrative and operational leadership, including extensive service within military communities, she understands the issues.

As a military spouse, with over 30 PCS moves, she brings first-hand understanding of the demands facing service members and their families, along with a proven ability to manage high-tempo environments with professionalism, discretion, and adaptability.

Throughout her career, Ms. Cox has supported a wide range of organizations—from law firms to Department of Defense personnel and has a strong background in nonprofit and military family advocacy. She previously served as a Volunteer Coordinator in nonprofit operations with the U.S. Army Family Readiness Organization at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and earlier at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. In these roles, she supported Family Readiness Group operations and helped coordinate life and social support resources for thousands of military families.

Ms. Cox has been married for 33 years to a retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer and combat veteran who deployed to Somalia, Operation Desert Storm, and multiple times to Iraq. Together, they raised three daughters, including their eldest, who proudly served in the military. Adopted at birth, Ms. Cox later learned of her Native American heritage—an experience that deepened her appreciation for identity, resilience, and service.

Outside of work, Ms. Cox enjoys flower gardening, hiking, travel, time in the mountains, and the great outdoors. She is also passionate about raising funds for MPN blood cancer research. Known for balancing professionalism with an open heart and a free-spirited outlook, she brings energy, compassion, and a touch of creative sparkle to everything she does.

At Citizen Soldier Law, Ms. Cox applies her extensive administrative experience and military community perspective to support the firm’s mission of serving service members, veterans, and their families with excellence and integrity.
