Laurent Laguitan
Paralegal

Here, with the lawyers and former Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) at Citizen Soldier, I focus on intake, retaining various cases and getting them to the right team members to ensure that we have your best interests in mind. I work on Administrative Separations, UCMJ matters, administrative investigations for the Navy, Army, Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force, Criminal Law and Domestic Violence cases. I have also become very knowledgeable and assist with cases related to Medical Evaluation Boards and Physical Evaluation Boards (MEB/PEB), Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES), Board of Corrections and Military Records (BCMR), Discharge Review Board (DRB) and Veterans Administration(VA) Appeals.

Trust me when I say that I know how you feel when you have no one left and it is as if you can’t trust your leaders or as if somebody above them is bringing down injustice upon you. Advocating for the military and veterans is personal for me. My personal experience in the Air Force Aircraft Maintenance world is what motivates me to continue helping not only my fellow Active Duty members but also our National Guard, Reserves, Law Enforcement and all citizens seeking justice.

My 8 years of experience in the Air Force as crew chief/flying crew chief and as Aircraft Support Supervisor has provided me with problem-solving skills and has allowed me to become very detail oriented. You will not be alone in Administrative Actions, Article 15s, UCMJ, and Military Discharges and having received training as a Master Resiliency Trainer, has allowed me to have more of a sympathetic approach for our valued clients who need it the most.

I enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2011 and attended Basic Training in Lackland AFB, Texas. I went on as an Aerospace Maintenance (Crew Chief) at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst maintaining C-17s. In 2013 I became Flying Crew Chief as a Senior Airman. I traveled along with a crew as the designated mechanic ensuring air worthiness for the aircraft. I traveled to 60 different countries, 4 deployments, over 2000 flying hours with 800 combat hours and 400 White House support hours. After 3 years in the flying assignment, I became an Aircraft Support Supervisor, supervised 11 Airmen and managed all aircraft support operations.
