Joshua has served the Alabama Army National Guard for 12 years in numerous positions having enlisted in 2011, and later commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps in Jacksonville Alabama in 2018. He has served in a variety of roles and positions, from performing duties as a Soldier, training personnel across the Army and Air National Guards as an NCO, to leadership of organizations as an Officer and has deployed multiple times overseas in each of these roles. He is extremely proud to have served in the Military Funeral Honors Program for the first eight years of his military career.
Having served as a Military Police Soldier and Officer in the United States, Qatar, Germany, Kuwait, and Jordan, as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer for the Department of the Interior in West Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, and New Jersey, as well as a United States Customs and Border Clearance Agent for the Department of Defense, Josh has a wealth of experience in police practices, as well as administrative regulations and policies.
Josh was trained in both state and federal criminal justice systems, and has worked on complaints, charges, and misconduct. His work in both the military and with emergency services has exposed him to various areas of injury, and through his recent work he has helped to guide veterans through Legacy Disability Evaluation System, Integrated Disability Evaluation System, Medical and Physical Evaluations Boards, and Combat Related Special Compensation for service members
He is a graduate of the United States Army Military Police School Enlisted and Officers programs, Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy Interior Program, and Emergency Medical Technician Program.
